Sakura Matcha Parfait
About Sakura Matcha Parfait
The Sakura Matcha Parfait is a delightful Japanese dessert that beautifully blends the floral notes of sakura and the earthy bitterness of matcha. Originating from Japan, this parfait celebrates the hanami season, where cherry blossoms are in full bloom, offering a hint of spring in every bite. Historically, matcha has been a significant element in Japanese tea ceremonies since the 12th century, while sakura has symbolized ephemerality and beauty in Japanese culture. Combining these two traditional flavors creates a parfait that is not only pleasing to the palate but also to the eye.

- Sakura blossom syrup - 2 tablespoons
- Matcha powder - 2 teaspoons
- Milk - 1 cup
- Whipping cream - 1 cup
- Sugar - 3 tablespoons
- Gelatin - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar (extra) - 1 tablespoon, for topping
