Ingredients

Preparation Steps

1. Prepare the Dough

   In a large bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Add a pinch of salt and mix well.

   Cut the butter into small cubes and add it to the flour mixture. Using your fingers, mix until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.

   Beat the eggs with vanilla extract and add to the flour mixture. Pour in the milk gradually, mixing until a dough forms.

   Spread the prune mixture over the dough, ensuring an even distribution.

   Fold over the edges of the dough to encase the filling.

4. Bake

   Bake the plăcintă in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

   Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
