Bakpia Molten
Introduction and History
Bakpia Molten is a modern twist on a classic Southeast Asian snack known as bakpia. Originating from Indonesia, bakpia is a pastry filled with sweet or savory fillings. Traditionally, it features a filling of mung bean encased in a thin, flaky crust. Over the years, bakpia has become a popular treat, particularly in Yogyakarta, where it is known as "Bakpia Pathok."
The contemporary iteration, Bakpia Molten, incorporates a molten chocolate center, bringing a decadent richness to this beloved pastry. This fusion dessert reflects the blend of traditional Indonesian flavors with modern culinary innovation, making it a favorite among locals and tourists alike.
