Preparation
Preparing the Protein
- Begin by seasoning the chicken and beef with salt and black pepper.
- In a large pot, brown the chicken and beef over medium heat. Remove and set aside.
- Add the onion, garlic, and ginger to the pot, sautéing until the onions are translucent.
Cooking the Base
- Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes to remove acidity.
- Return the browned chicken and beef to the pot, along with the palm nut extract and water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for at least 45 minutes or until the meat is tender.

- Gently incorporate the okra and spinach, cooking for an additional 10 minutes.
- Add the habanero peppers to the pot for spice, adjusting the amount depending on your spice preference.
