Preparation
Making the Dough

2. Gradually add rice flour while stirring continuously to form a smooth, lump-free dough.
3. Cover the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes until it can be handled easily.

1. In a pan, add fresh grated coconut and jaggery.
2. Cook on medium heat until the jaggery melts and blends well with the coconut.

Cooking Process

2. Flatten each portion into a small disc using your fingers.

5. Using your fingers, create pleats on the sealed edge to give it a unique pattern.
6. Place the shaped Karunji on a greased steaming plate.
7. Steam the Karunji for about 15-20 minutes. Use a cooking timer to monitor the time.
